Independent Forest Audits in Ontario
Each Forest License in Ontario is required by regulation to have an independent assessment of the forest management that has occurred every five years. TECO Natural Resource Group was awarded the 2011 Lac Seul Independent Forest Audit. By completing the questionnaire you will assist us with an opportunity to better understand your opinion of the forest management activities that have occurred during the audit term on the Lac Seul Forest. Crown Forests in Ontario are managed through a joint effort between the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) and the holder of a Sustainable Forest License(SFL). The Sioux Lookout District of the MNR is responsible for the administration and regulation of forest management activities on the Lac Seul Forest. McKenzie Forest Products is the SFL holder for this forest and is responsible for forest management planning and the implementation of forest management activities such as road building, harvesting, regeneration, and stand tending. The time period the Independent Forest Audit is assessing these parties’ performance is for the period of April 1, 2006 to March 31, 2011. The following questions pertain to their performance during this time period.
