CAMEO CAM and Cancer in BC Booklet Questionnaire
Welcome to the CAM and Cancer in BC booklet evaluation survey.
This page is to formally invite you to participate in a research study regarding the Complementary Medicine Education and Outcomes research program’s new CAM and Cancer in British Columbia booklet (“Booklet”). This study is conducted by Dr. Lynda Balneaves, Associate Professor, University of British Columbia (UBC) School of Nursing and Associate Researcher, British Columbia Cancer Agency.
This study will take approximately 10 minutes of your time. You will be asked to complete an online survey about the usefulness of the Booklet information, and if you feel it has changed how you will approach your decisions regarding complementary medicine during your cancer journey.
Your decision to participate or decline participation in this study is completely voluntary and you have the right to terminate your participation at any time. You may skip any questions you do not wish to answer. If you do not wish to complete this survey just close your browser window.
Your participation in this research is anonymous and confidential. Data will be averaged and reported in aggregate. Results will be shared through articles and conference presentations to help other cancer centres understand the value of materials like the Booklet for patient education. Although your participation in this research may not benefit you personally, it will help us and other cancer centres better prepare educational materials about complementary medicine.
We are not aware of any risk to individuals participating in this survey beyond those that exist in daily life. Your participation is anonymous and will not affect your care or work position at the BC Cancer Agency.
If you have questions about this project, you may contact Dr. Lynda Balneaves (604 707 5900 x672883 ; lynda.balneaves@nursing.ubc.ca ) or Project Director Antony Porcino (604 707 5930 ; aporcino@bccancer.bc.ca ).
