Demographics of Sexual Desire

Informed Consent Agreement: I hereby agree to serve as a subject in the research project “The Demographics of Sexual Desire.” I understand that the purpose of this research is to gather information about the relationship between demographic information and sexual desire. The research activity I will participate in is an anonymous online survey in which I will be asked to rate my interest level in certain sexual activities and explain the rating that I choose. I understand that the information I provide will be used (in the aggregate along with all other participants in this research) only as resource material to write a research paper and give a presentation at the Western Psychological Association on sexual desires and practices in contemporary society. I also understand that my individual responses may be paraphrased and reported anonymously in the paper and presentation; no identifying information about me will be included. Additionally, the only people who will read my original responses are the two researchers and their faculty member. Furthermore, the survey responses will be destroyed within 90 days following the presentation. The researchers have agreed to provide, at my request, a copy of the final draft of their paper. I understand that the risks to me are minimal, and would likely be nothing more than embarrassment from sharing information about my sexual desires and practices. There will be no compensation of any kind available for my participation. I understand that I can skip any question and withdraw my full participation from the study at any time without penalty. This research has been approved by the Evergreen State College's Human Subjects Review Board. I understand that my participation in this project is completely voluntary, and that my choice of whether to participate in this project will not jeopardize my relationship with The Evergreen State College. I am free to withdraw at any point before or during the survey. By taking this survey, I am indicating that I have read and agree to the foregoing.
